As estrelas do rock têm maior probabilidade de morrer mais cedo que o resto da população. Será isto verdade? Parece a todos que sim, inclusivé a uns cientistas que fizeram o estudo sobre isso.
Os ditos viram que cerca de 100 músicos morreram entre 1956 e 2005. Mais de 1/4 das mortes deveram-se a abusos de alcóol ou drogas.
Por exemplo, Jimmy Hendrix morreu depois de beber um mau cocktail de vinho e nove comprimidos para dormir. Janis Joplin e Jim Morrison morreram com uma overdose de heroína e Kurt Cobain com um tiro na cabeça. Tinham todos nada mais nada menos que 27 anos.
Loucura, loucura, viver á grande e tal, morrer jovem, lá está, qual James Dean. Big desperdicio.
O estudo (vago não referir a fonte) mostra que estas celebridades têm mais do dobro de probabilidades de morrer cedo, e isso é capaz de acontecer apenas 5 anos depois de alcançarem sucesso.
Os norte-americanos morrem com uma média de 42 anos, já os europeus, ainda mais desvairados, por volta dos 35. Parece que têm a esperança média de vida da Etiópia, só que com a qualidade de vida da Suiça.

Sabes a selecção natural. E aquelas teorias de que as catástrofes naturais servem para eliminar parte da população, para que os recursos disponíveis continuem a servir e nãos esgotem? Pois bem.
